Features of the KDS

The KDS auto-arranges tickets and displays them clearly on the screen with an easy to use, stylish and modern design. You have both 'light' and 'dark' visual modes depending on your staff's preference. Filter tickets by catagory such as 'Starters' and 'Mains' to help streamline your food preporation. The units can withstand the rough and intense nature of the kitchen environment, as they are designed to endure grease, oil and dirt.

 

Estimated food preparation times can be set for menu items which are then displayed while cooking. Using this feature, the chefs can then structure food production and optimise the amount of orders. Kitchen staff can clock in and out on the KDS, meaning the chefs can also maximise their time as well as keep out of the way of the other busy employees.

Another feature of the product is the custom notification noises and colour coding which can be used to inform chefs about any dietary requirements a customer may have. If the chefs miss the visual colour coded prompt, the auditory notification will make sure they know to check the digital-ticket for vital information about a customer's allergens.

 

Is your customer in a rush? For example, maybe they have a theatre performance to go to? You can use the rush feature to prioritise an order! This can be edited at a terminal, which then notifies the chefs and stops unnecessary trips to the kitchen! The KDS can be used to prioritise, recall and complete orders. A staff member can also record when a customer has arrived, is late, or has cancelled by selecting the relevant option on a terminal. This information is sent to the KDS instantly, allowing the staff to optimise their time.

The Pass Screen view will allow waiters and waitresses to mark an order as complete once they have taken the meals to the customers. They can also edit, rush, and void existing orders which updates the information across the different products and keeps the chefs and other staff in the loop.
