Robots in YO! Sushi? Yes you heard it right. We've teamed up with YO! Sushi to provide a robotics solution to their business. SPARK will provide Premium Delivery Robot BellaBot and Heavy Duty Transporting Robot HolaBot to multiple YO! Sushi venues across the country.
In the hopes to introduce something new to the already innovative business, YO! decided to see if robotics were the solution to keep them one step ahead of the curve. Starting with a trial in their Newcastle store, YO! was more than happy with the customer response to BellaBot and HolaBot. Now the hugely popular food chain will begin implementing SPARK Robotics across multiple venues across the UK. So keep your eyes open for BellaBot and HolaBot.
An Introduction to the newest members of YO! team
When visiting a YO! Sushi you may see the newest member of their team, Premium Delivery Robot BellaBot, who will most likely be delivering your food in style. Bella will carry food on trays which will light up when Bella arrives at the right table, Bella will then tell the customer which tray to take food from, then move onto its next table location. Other great features include BellaBot's Birthday mode, during a customers birthday Bella will manoeuvre to the guests table with a cake whilst singing Happy Birthday.
The next addition to the YO! team is Heavy Duty Transporting Robot HolaBot, the robots main function is to carry heavy loads of plates from tables to the kitchen. Using a robot instead of staff to complete this exhausting task reduces staff injury whilst giving the staff more free time to spend with customers. Staff can communicate with Hola through a smart watch via a pagering function, with just the press of a button staff can summon Hola to the table they're at. The staff member will then load Hola up with the dirty dishes then send it to the kitchen to be unloaded.
Who are YO!?
YO! Sushi first burst into the restaurant scene in 1977, and 25 years later they've now opened over 100 venues all over the world. With eye catching colour coded dishes and a "Kaiten" conveyor belt, it's no wonder YO! is so popular. Sushi may be what they're known for but they also have a mouth-watering range of hot street food available and almost 1/3 of their menu is veggie. It's no wonder YO! want to introduce robotics into their venue, they're an innovative restaurant chain and are always one step ahead.
The first YO! venue to introduce SPARK Robotics was their newly opened restaurant in Middlebrook, Bolton which opened on July 18th, 2022. The opening in Bolton will be the first YO! Sushi to open in a Retail & Leisure park and will be the home to the third longest conveyor belt in the UK, serving mouthwatering Japanese foods. This was only the start of the YO! x SPARK partnership as we've been busy implementing Bella's and Hola's all over the UK, including cities like Liverpool.
